Sock Puppets
These wonderful sock, glove and creepy crawly puppets have proved very popular with schools around the UK, both with children and teachers. The challenge is for each child to be given a basic puppet, either a sock or canvas glove puppet, or fur mitten and then to create their very own character using craft materials like Funky Foam, Fur Balls, pipe cleaners etc. The children have to decide whether to make their puppet a boy or girl or even an animal like a dog or rabbit. This encourages the children to use their own imaginations and you would be amazed at the different creations that they come up with. Once the puppet is finished the children can be asked to give their character a name and a voice that is different from their own.

SOCK PUPPETS

Each child is given a colourful fur sock puppet and is encouraged to create a character of their own using various craft materials like Funky Foam, fur balls, pipe cleaners etc. Two examples are shown above. We have found that the foam and most other materials stick best using Prit Stick or equivalent.
The sock Puppet is made from quality fur with a felt mouthpiece and is operated by placing a hand into sleeve while fingers and thumb can open and close mouth.
Sold in quantities of 12 or 48 and in six bright colours. Funky Foam and fur balls sold separately.
